If your grandparent hasn’t passed then I’m sure that they would have a lot to tell you. Do not let technology hinder a conversation with the elderly.

Each year we get smarter and smarter. Each year we also get dumber and dumber. Knowing how to communicate with one another with words less and less is becoming the result of the increase in technology. No hand written letters, no hand written anything for that matter, no one going out of there way to socialize or converse with another human being. No communication like we use to use. Conversation is disappearing before our eyes. If we want to hear any of the captivating stories of our grandparents’ childhood or our grandfathers’ trip to Vietnam then we must make the first move and talk to them first, all they are waiting for is someone to listen. Until we realize that our grandparents and the elderly of the society are going quickly, we will be shy of the memories of the past. The elderly group is a very limited resource and we need to cultivate the potential of the present time with them. Our grandparents aren’t learning much about technology because they lived their whole lives without it. It is not completely necessary and it definitely should not be the most important thing in our life.
