Chapter 6 Organizing and Research Arguments

Many famous films and well-known books took time to think through and to analyze. A finished product is never complete on the first draft and was never finished in a day. Things like this take time and mistakes to create. We learn through our mistakes and our work only gets better through them. In this chapter of “Envision” it teaches you many different writing techniques one can use in order to reach the next step of a well-prepared final draft. This chapter taught me about writing a draft using visual form, learning outline strategies, putting the spotlight on my argument, and drafting my research argument.

In this chapter what I found most beneficial was the Learning to Outline section of the chapter. Outlining for a paper can be extremely beneficial especially when one is writing a research paper, or a paper with a lot of information to organize. This can help a reader get his or her point across more smoothly without causing confusion. The more complex your outlines becomes, the more beneficial it can be. By creating a formal outline and using subheads and transitions the easier it is for you to write a paper.
