Tips For Freshman

hey guys we have been working real hard on our project over the past week. We were able to work well together and keep our focus on the project and it has all paid off, our project is officially finished. We decided to do a video instead of a website because we felt our information was more suited to be in a video. Our video was about a few basic guidelines on how to succeed well in college. We all thought this was appropriate seeing as how we are all freshman and we know now what it takes to do well in college. Our video consists of some graphics combined with voiceovers and also three short skits; each one on a different guideline we thought was important to teach incoming and current freshman. We hope you enjoy and please give us feedback on what you thought of the video!

  1. TThe video looked crisp and well done, a lot of effort seemed to be put into it. All the actors looked like they were having fun. Good job so far! Can't wait to see the finished project!

  2. The video looked legit enough. I honestly know less than a little about video making so I can't really give any sort of feedback on the technological aspect of the project.

  8. I thought your video was well polished. You chose good points to focus on and it will get the message across to college freshmen. I felt that you could have expanded on a couple of the topics, like communication. Maybe you could have said what a downside could be if you don't have good communication skills or something like that. Because freshmen are being bombarded with so much new information, you need to give them a reason to remember what you have to say.

  10. I thought the video was good especially, because its not even due for a whole week. The things I believe could change are pretty simple. The first is that although it's only a one minute video you should still preview the three points before presenting them. This gives the audience a warning of what you are going to show them, and the more times the tips are said the more likely they are to remember them.

  15. I think that the beginning was very attention getting, and I liked to comedy aspect to it, but I'd make sure that you make it equally visual as it is audible.
